Universities

Australian universities place great importance on the learning style that encourages students to be innovative, creative and think independently. Australia attracts the third largest number of international students in the English-speaking world after the USA and UK.In some countries Australia is the students first choice study destination.

Universities across Australia offer a diverse range of courses such as medicine, anagement, accounting, engineering, science, information technology, computer studies, education and so on. Australian universities are major producers of research and development. Postgraduate students learn skills in research and specialized areas that place them ahead in the development and application of new technologies.

Starting dates
These vary widely depending on the course. Higher education courses generally run from late February to mid November. The academic year is typically divided into two semesters, though some education providers operate on a trimester system and/or offer summer schools from December to February.

Undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students enroll for their courses at the beginning of the year (usually in January or February).
