Australian Education Assessment Services (AEAS) has been providing a high quality assessment service for international primary and secondary school students wishing to study in Australia since 1985.

AEAS provides comprehensive testing specifically developed or selected for international school students applying to study in Australia. The AEAS Assessment includes English language proficiency, general ability and mathematical reasoning and takes students approximately 3 hours to complete under supervision.

The AEAS Assessment is insurance for both the student and the school as a comprehensive profile can be provided before the school offers a place. Analysis can be made as to the student’s capability to manage with the year he or she intends to enter and the areas the student may need support with.

The Assessment Report provides an accurate assessment of the students English language proficiency and the number of weeks intensive English language program that should be undertaken by the student before he or she enters the Australian classroom. The AEAS Assessment Report provides a far wider range of information than any other available tests and may be used when applying for a place at many first class Australian schools.

Students are encouraged to complete an AEAS Assessment prior to applying to an Australian School. The AEAS Assessment Report will significantly assist students’ applications to first class Australian Schools.

Australian Schools
The AEAS Assessment is widely accepted by schools throughout Australia. These schools rely on the Test Results (Assessment Report) to provide information about the student that is independent of the students’ school reports. This assists the school when deciding to accept the students’ application.

A list of schools which accept the AEAS Assessment is provided under Australian Schools.

The Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) has approved most of these schools to use the AEAS Assessment for Assessment Level 4 countries under a two year waiver provision. Under the waiver provision, the school provides a written statement to the student to include with their visa application along with a copy of the AEAS Assessment Report.

Test Availability
Testing is currently available in over 60 test centres across 17 countries and can be arranged in other countries as required. Testing is held on a regular basis. Some countries specify test dates during the year for the student to choose from. Other countries will negotiate test dates with students as required.
